Pre- and Postnatal Visits

Here's what we'll cover at each stage.

Prenatal Visit 1 · ~1–2 hours · Around 28–30 weeks

Getting to know each other

We'll review your intake questionnaire, talk about the role of a doula, and what to expect during labor and delivery.

Birth goals: hopes, fears, priorities
Education on stages of labor, comfort measures, and more
Logistical planning: when to call your doula, packing for the hospital
Plenty of time for questions

Prenatal Visit 2 · ~1–2 hours · Around 36 weeks

Preparing for birth

We'll talk about your birth preferences and review and practice hands-on comfort measures.

Review of your birth plan and communication with your care providers
Pain relief options
Your partner's role and support strategies
Postpartum planning: support system, meals, childcare, and more

Postnatal Visit (Optional) · ~1 hour · In the first month postpartum

Reflecting and reconnecting

We'll review your birth together, and you can ask any questions you might have. I'll also check in on how adjusting to life at home is going, and can point you toward any additional resources. If helpful, I'm happy to watch the baby for you, wash bottles, start a load of laundry — whatever else you might need.

Prenatal Meetings

Ideally we'll meet twice before baby arrives.

Message Support

Available via text/email from 8am–8pm (or 24/7 during your on-call window).

On-call Window

On-call for your birth from 2 weeks before your due date through 1 week after.*

Postpartum Check-in

We'll have a visit (or call) after baby arrives to reflect, support, and debrief.
